Dogfish’s Sam Calagione to host Discovery Channel beer show

Pioneer craft brewer and booming personality Sam Calagione will star in his own Discovery Channel show, “Brewed,” set to air this fall. The series will follow Calagione along with archaeologist Pat McGovern as they set out to recreate historic brews, similar to his already popular “Ancient Ales” stable of beers; the pair will travel to New Zealand to attempt a tomato beer, as well as an Old World-style Italian beer that will serve as inspiration for his upcoming New York restaurant, Eataly.
This will be a must watch for me. I think this show has the idea to be great for us home brewers and beer connoisseurs. But it also has the potential to fail miserably. We shall see….I will be turned in for ep 1.
