One man’s empty beer bottle is another man’s art

• Apr 15th, 2010 • Category: Beer News

Here we are, less than a week away from Earth Day and we’ve barely done any “green” beer stories. Shame on us. Don’t worry, we’ll rectify that situation next week, but we have one today that will whet the old environmentalist whistle.

Glassblower Nick Paul saw an opportunity. More specifically, he saw six opportunities. The artist takes old beer bottles and turns them into tumblers. It’s brilliant “functional art, functional trash.” That, DRAFTMag.com readers, is recycling.

His company, Windy City Glass, sells the items in one, two, and six-packs. If you want one, get ‘em here. Our favorite: Arrogant Bastard Ale.
