Women: drink beer, lose weight

Losing weight just got a little easier.
The Archives of Internal Medicine publishes a study this month in which the authors claim that women who drank moderates amount of alcohol gained the least amount during a 13-year period. Someone call the Beer Runner!
The tests applied to 19,220 females and demonstrated that “compared with nondrinkers, initially normal-weight women who consumed a light to moderate amount of alcohol gained less weight and had a lower risk of becoming overweight and/or obese during 12.9 years of follow-up.”
We’re sold. Now if only this applied to dudes as well.
