(Cheap) beer with your (bad) baseball

A couple week ago, we let you know which baseball stadiums sold what beers in the American league and National league. But should the prices of said beers be determined by how good or bad the team is?
The Wall Street Journal asked this exact question and determined that they are, at least to some extent. “A team with a .600 winning percentage charges, on average, about $1.30 more for a 16-ounce beer than does a team with a .400 percentage,” the article states. (Of course, there are only two teams playing .600 ball and three below .400, so it’s not exactly a huge sample size.)
Citizens of Pittsburgh (21-ounce beer for $4.75) have something to smile about. They need it, considering the dismal state of their Pirates.
