From the archives: 50 beers, 50 states

By Noah Davis • Sep 1st, 2009 • Category: From the archives

There are an impressive amount of beers in this great country of ours, and in DRAFT’s July/August 2009 issue, our staff scoured the nation for each state’s best.

The result spans from Alabama’s Good People Coffee Oatmeal Stout (”It may come from the South, but there’s nothing sleepy about this stout. True to its name, this brew’s rich with oatmeal, espresso, and chocolate flavors, with just enough hops bitterness to balance the sweet characters.”) to Wyoming’s Snake River Brewing Rolling Thunder Dortmunder (”Only at this Jackson Hole brewery can you sip this GABF gold medal winner in the shadow of the Grand Tetons. The beer’s light in color, but as tall as Exum Ridge in flavor, as Vienna and pilsner malt sweetness balances peppery hops.”) and everywhere in between.

Now enjoy and get traveling.
