A fruity beer spill

By Noah Davis • Jul 20th, 2009 • Category: Beer News

What’s worse than a semi filled with beer flipping over and spilling its contents on the road? Well nothing, but a semi filled with lime-flavored beer comes pretty close.

That’s exactly what happened on Friday morning in Madison, Wisconsin. A truck carrying bottles of fruit-infused brews crashed on the city’s Far East Side, sending thousands of ounces of beer (and some diesel fuel) cascading down the street. Two lanes of Highway 151 going northbound had to be shut down.

Police charged the driver of the truck with failure to control speed. That must have left a sour taste in his mouth.
