Hello Halloween in August at Gritty McDuff’s

• Jul 16th, 2009 • Category: Beer News

Although we’re still in middle of the sweltering summer months, it’s kind of nice to look forward to fall… and the beers that come with it.

Gritty McDuff’s Brewing Co., a Maine craft brewer, is releasing its annual Halloween Ale in August. It will be available through the day of the beer’s namesake.

Gritty’s description of the seasonal ale: “An Extra Special Bitter, full-bodied brew that’s perfect for crisp autumn days, Gritty’s Halloween Ale features a deep amber color, a bold, malty palate and a well-rounded hop finish.”

Gritty’s vice president and brewmaster, Ed Stebbins, says that August isn’t too early to start thinking about fall, especially in New England. Hey, August isn’t too early to start thinking about Halloween costumes, ghouls, and goblins, either.
