From the archives: Nothing says summer like sangria

In DRAFT’s July/August issue, we took a moment off from singing the praises of beer to sing the praises of sangria.
When it’s third-degree-burn-from-touching-the-steering-wheel hot, a chalice of room-temperature red wine won’t exactly quench the ol’ palate. You need ice-cold, quick-with-the-buzz refreshment, and you need it now. So did the Spaniards, who, in hot and red-wine soaked Delfia, devised one of our most beloved summer cocktails: sangria.
Admit it, you’re glad we went there.
