When beer becomes art

No offense to Nebraska, but we don’t think of it as having a burgeoning art scene. Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill in Haymarket might change that impression, at least where “beer art” is concerned.
The restaurant in teaming with concrete floor specialist Todd Rose — yes, there is such a thing — to include stain made from beer produced by the Empyrean Brewing Company in its new floor. According to a release, “The Empyrean Brewing Company logo will be stained, with beer of course, in the front entryway to remind all who step upon the floor that it is made with beer.”
Rose’s goal is to make people think, “What the hell is that guy thinking!” when they walk into the space. Um, success?
