Massachusetts ‘can’ do it

By Noah Davis • May 18th, 2009 • Category: Beer Companies

Throwing tea into a river is so 18th century. Drinking craft beer from a can, now there’s a past time worthy of the aughts.

With the help of 21st Amendment Brewery, Boston-based pilgrims will be able to do just that. The San Francisco brewery brings its canned craft — Hell or High Watermelon Wheat Beer and Brew Free! Or Die IPA — to the former home of co-founder Nico Freccia.

“Massachusetts, and in particular, Boston, is a craft beer drinkers’ paradise,” Freccia, the brewery’s chief watermelon officer, said in a statement. “People in Massachusetts just get the CAN-cept of great craft beer, and we are really excited to be a part of the local beer landscape.”

Besides, tea doesn’t come in a can.
