Oakshire Brewing Co. matures

• Apr 9th, 2009 • Category: Beer News

Oakshire Brewing Company is growing up. The Eugene, Oregon facility is adding 2,000 square feet to its floorplan, which will allow the installation of three 30-barrel fermentation tanks immediately as well as eight 80-barrel ones in the next three years.

Additionally, Oakshire tapped Matt Van Wyk, formerly of Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery in Flossmoor Illinois, will join Oakshire as the company’s Brewmaster. He started on March 30. Van Wyk won the Small Brewpub Company Brewer of the Year award at the 2006 Great American Beer Festival.
