Twilight Ale emerges from the dark
By Noah Davis • Apr 7th, 2009 • Category: Beer ReleasesAnother rite of summertime passage has almost arrived: On Memorial Day Weekend, Deschutes Brewery release its Twilight Ale.
“The malts of Twilight Ale are at once offset and complemented by citrus and floral aromas that come from the whole flower hops,” Deschutes brewer John Abraham said in a statement. “The overall result is a crisp, effervescent, highly drinkable ale. I consider it the perfect hot weather quencher.”
He combines Cara-Pils and Carastan malts with Cascade, Amarillo, and Tettnang hops to produce the ale.
The seasonal brew, which checks in at 5.0% ABV and 35 IBUs, will be available across the Western U.S. through September.
