Redhook lightens up with Slim Chance
• Feb 4th, 2009 • Category: Beer Releases
This February, Redhook Ale Brewery will get a bit skinnier with the release of Slim Chance, its first year-round light ale. The beer, named for a daredevil kiteboarding trick, is in the blonde-style tradition, and features a wide variety of golden-kilned malts, a touch of wheat, and subtle aroma hops.
“It’s the beer you want to drink after a hard run, a day on the slopes or a long bike ride, but it’s also great for when you’re just hanging out in the backyard,” said Kim Brusco, brewing operations manager for Redhook Ale Brewery.
You can find Slim Chance in 12-oz bottles and on tap in 12 western states starting this month. It will expand to nationwide distribution starting in March. A six-pack of the country’s only nationally-distributed craft light ale retails for $8.99.
