New beers from the Pacific Northwest

There’s nothing better about this job than telling you loyal readers about great new offerings from breweries around the country. So, without further ado, here are two from our friends in the Pacific Northwest.
Big Daddy J’s Malt Liquor
Great name, better beer. Full Sail’s latest small batch draft beer is 8%-ABV and hopped with Hallertau Hersbrucker hops. If you’re in the Portland area on December 15, head to the Full Sail Tasting Room and Pub betwen 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for a “Meet the Brewer and the Beer” event. Tell brewer Jason Munoz we said hi.
BridgePort’s Ebenezer Ale
The 6.4%-ABV brew blends Pacific Northwest and imported hops to create this award-winning, full-bodied beer with a caramel finish. The brewery has produced the winter ale for nine years running and it’s available at BridgePort’s brewpub and bakery, the BridgePort AleHouse, and restaurants and grocery stores throughout the Portland and Seattle area.

If you are around the Portland area, I would definitely recommend snagging up some of Bridgeport’s Raven Mad which they released this year. We featured it on our show and it is quite tasty. And it comes in a nifty little 3-d bottle.
Ebenezer is usually widely available, not just in Portland. I can get in all of the local Fort Collins, CO liquor stores.
